Command Center
The Command Center answers three operator questions: which environment is active, what state is it in, and what should happen next.

Active Environment
Section titled “Active Environment”Use the environment selector when more than one profile exists. The selected profile controls the status card and enables profile-specific navigation for GitOps, diagnostics, access, and cloud operations.
The status card summarizes:
| Signal | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Setup | The latest setup outcome or the most advanced completed stage. |
| Health | Whether setup is ready, running, healthy, or needs attention. |
| GitOps | Whether the repository is clean, has changes, or needs a push. |
| Cloud | DigitalOcean state, destroyed state, or no provider metadata. |
Next is the safest useful action derived from those signals. Follow it before opening lower-level controls.
Primary Work Areas
Section titled “Primary Work Areas”- Setup creates or resumes the reviewed five-step setup flow.
- Profiles & Diagnostics combines profile metadata, recent runs, stack operations, and diagnostics.
- GitOps Review opens repository status, recent commits, diffs, and guarded repository actions.
- Access & Cloud leads to masked credentials and provider controls for the selected profile.
The search capsule, or ⌘ K, provides quick navigation to these work areas. It does not run remote commands by itself.
Needs Attention
Section titled “Needs Attention”Servestead may surface:
- Repository drift or a pending push.
- Optional credentials that are not configured.
- A failed or cancelled latest run.
- A setup profile that is ready to continue.
Open the linked review surface rather than guessing from the summary. When no issue is detected, the card reports that explicitly.
Recent Activity
Section titled “Recent Activity”Recent profile updates and the latest run appear with a timestamp and link back to the relevant workspace. For full run history and logs, open the selected profile and choose View history.
Expected Result
Section titled “Expected Result”A stable environment shows Healthy, a clean or understood GitOps state, and a next action such as Sync stacks as needed. If health reports Needs attention, continue with Profiles and diagnostics or Common issues.
